Creating Opportunities Through Adventure
Cadet Horizons turns authentic adventure into awareness, partnership and practical opportunity for young people.
Why we exist
Cadet Horizons exists to create meaningful opportunities for young people who may otherwise miss them.
Mountains, waterways, trails and demanding environments give us a credible platform. They attract attention, reveal character and create stories worth sharing. We use that platform to build support that reaches beyond the people undertaking the challenge.
02 · The Cadet Horizons model
The Forged Series and International Missions both serve the same long-term vision, but they have different roles and completely separate support routes.
UK-based, multi-discipline adventure events created to raise charitable donations for the Cadet Opportunity Grant.
Public donations → Cadet Opportunity Grant → held and managed independently by ACCT UK
Expeditions that inspire, raise awareness, tell stories, build partnerships and grow the reach of Cadet Horizons.
Supported by Mission Partners and mission-specific GoFundMe campaigns — not by Forged Series donations

03 · The Forged Series
Hiking. Kayaking. Paddleboarding. Cycling. Trail running. Navigation. Winter endurance. Multi-day and team challenges. The discipline changes; the destination does not.
Held and managed independently by Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK), supporting access to approved activities, expeditions and equipment.
The Forged Series does not fund International Missions.

04 · International Missions
International Missions demonstrate the values behind Cadet Horizons through credible, carefully prepared expeditions. They create stories, media and partnership opportunities that extend the organisation's reach.
Corporate, equipment, technology, service, accommodation and transport support.
International Missions do not receive charitable donations intended for the Cadet Opportunity Grant.
